Dedicated to providing expert, student-centered school psychology services for districts and families nationwide.
At NorthStar Student Services, we empower school districts to meet the evaluation and support needs of their students — from early childhood through transition out of special education services. Our mission is to ensure every student receives thorough, compliant, and compassionate psychoeducational services, regardless of geographic limitations.
We bridge the gap between district staffing needs and student outcomes, delivering the same rigor and quality virtually that you'd expect from an in-person evaluation.
Before founding NorthStar Student Services, our founder spent years working within special education cooperatives specializing in the therapeutic day school setting. This experience provided deep exposure to the most complex student needs — from students with significant emotional and behavioral challenges to those requiring intensive academic support.
That foundation was complemented by experience across the full continuum — from general education settings to early childhood programs and transition-age students exiting special education services. Whether the case is straightforward or deeply complex, NorthStar has seen it.
Most recently, this included a year of virtual service delivery for both Detroit Public Schools and Illinois districts, conducting IEP psychoeducational evaluations remotely with the same thoroughness and quality as in-person assessments.
NorthStar Student Services was founded to fill the gap that so many districts face — evaluation backlogs, staffing shortages, and tight compliance timelines — with a partner who genuinely understands the work and cares about the outcome for every student and family.
